Zapata, York Named WISD Teachers of the Year

Willis, TX, June 9, 2015 – Laura Zapata and Lloyd “B.J.” York were named the elementary and secondary teachers of the year for Willis ISD at the district’s annual end-of-the-year celebration Friday, June 5th at Lynn Lucas Auditorium. The celebration also honored service award recipients, retirees, paraprofessionals and departmental employees of the year.

Incoming 6th graders: Wonder by R J Palacio
Incoming 7th graders: Dark Water Rising by Marion Hale
Incoming 8th graders: Seeing Red by Kathryn Erskine

School Reach is Willis ISD’s message broadcast system.

The service allows Willis ISD to communicate information by phone within minutes of an emergency or unplanned event that causes early dismissal, school cancellation or late start. It may also be used to convey general reminders or announcements. To review messages, call 855-955-8500 from the phone number to which the message was sent. Contact your child's campus if the number(s) provided for the School Reach system to use should change.

2014-2015 School Hours

BMS will have new hours for the 2014/2015 school year. Classes will begin at 7:15 a.m. and end at 2:35 p.m.
