TEN TIPS FOR HEALTHY EATING
Presented by Yvonne Welther, Extension Assistant – Better Living for Texans

Girls, ages 10 to 19, have a lot of changes going on in their bodies. Building healthier habits will help you—now as a growing teen—and later in life. Growing up means you are in charge of foods you eat and the time you spend being physically active every day.


GROWING BEAUTIFUL
Presented by Michele Scaife, Project Specialist – Texas Grow! Eat! Go!

Gardening can be not only a fun pastime, but a great way to produce your own fresh food to keep your skin glowing and your body healthy. Learn about growing a fun theme garden. But, more importantly explore what nature can teach us about ourselves and beauty.


LIFE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL- PREPARING FOR COLLEGE
Presented by Rachel Cooper, Program Assistant – 4-H in Montgomery County, Former Texas 4-H Council member, and current Sam Houston State University student

Going to college may see like a given for some students and for others can seem like a far off possibility. Learn strategies you can start using now to put yourself in a good position to make decisions when the time comes to start applying for colleges.


LIFE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL – TRAVELING
Presented by Amy Ressler, County Extension Agent-Family and Consumer Sciences, and her daughter Ciara Ressler, World Traveler

Have you ever thought about seeing the world, but think (or are told) there is no way you can? Learn about some strategies for economical and safe ways to see parts of the world you may have never thought possible. See pictures and ask questions of a young woman who has visited 10 different countries since graduating from high School.


CONFLICT KIBOSH
Presented by Caroline Cruz, County Extension Agent-Urban Youth Development

Conflict is going to happen in life, but by using effective communication skills you can resolve conflict and most of the time remain or become friends with the people with which you have conflict. Learn strategies for working through difficult situations using techniques to put a stop to the casualties of conflict. Also, learn how you can take a stand against negative talk.
