As an Assistant Principal, I have the unique opportunity to affect positive, profound learning experiences for students.  I love that my vocation and career are one and the same:  a professional Educational Administrator.  This allows me to maximize my potential as a teacher, reacher, leader, and learner.  I believe in creating a cooperative and collaborative learning environment that emphasizes, augments, and expands on the student's multiple intelligences and learning styles.
I hope that as an Administrator I can assist other professional educators and learners achieve their goals while furthering the District's Vision and Mission Statement.  I work collaboratively with teammates to grow a culture of dignity and respect for everyone.  I believe that "fun" and "fundamentals" can co-exist in the modern classroom as we design and facilitate deep learning experiences that enrich the lives of our students.  I look forward to opportunities for growth, both professionally and personally.

Biographical Information:
I taught at the High School level in English, Yearbook, Newspaper, Creative Writing, Photojournalism, and Journalism I.  I became an Assistant Principal at the High School level and then transferred to the Intermediate School in grades 5 and 6.  
I have three children and two grandchildren.  I have been married for over twenty-five years.  My family and I operate a small cattle farm.  I love reading (particularly poetry), writing (mostly short stories and poetry), the outdoors (especially camping and fishing), and working with kids.
I earned my Eagle Scout, worked with the Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services, earned my Lone Star Farmer degree in FFA, and showed multiple animals at county fairs.  I volunteer in organizations such as the Elks Lodge and Boy Scouts.
