Forty Brabham 8th graders went to Sam Houston State University today. They had a great time touring the campus, discovering facts about the history of the university, and talking with college students to find out about college life (and grabbing a few selfies). Performing Arts at Brabham

Ms. Lumpkin's theatre arts students and XLR8 students performed a play, skits, commercials, and lip syncs for the student body on Friday. Ms. Bird and Ms. Cummins also showcased several performances from the Brabham drill and dance teams. Their talented performances were very entertaining!

First Round of STAAR

The first round of STAAR is complete. Eighth grade students who did not pass will be required to retake the test in May.

Teachers are planning lessons for May to accelerate learning into next year. The month of May will not be free time or movie time at Brabham. We will remain focused on our mission to ensure that all students are prepared for high school and for lifelong learning. Instruction will continue to be engaging and challenging! Three Brabham Teachers Awarded Grants

Les Peacock, Tamara Lumpkin, and Tiffany Bird were recognized yesterday by the Willis Education Foundation. They were each awarded grant money to begin projects that will benefit Brabham students.

BMS Band Pre-UIL Concert Update

March 4th: Symphonic Band will still perform and needs to be at the LLMS Auditorium by 5pm. Honor Band performance is cancelled and will be rescheduled for the week after spring break.

6th Grade Bobkats for 2014-15

Last week 5th graders from Parmley, Turner, Meador, Hardy, and Canaan came to Brabham to experience Bobkat Kamp. They listened to the principals, toured the building, asked questions, and practiced opening lockers.
