About Me

My name is Elizabeth O'Connell, and I am going into my third year of teaching as the Assistant Band Director at Brabham Middle School. My specialty instrument is Clarinet, however I am skilled in teaching all woodwind instruments, including Saxophone, Bassoon, Oboe, and Flute. I will be directing the Symphonic Band, as well as assisting with the Honor and Concert Bands.
Fun Facts:
  • I received my Bachelor's Degree from Texas State University, where I studied under the instruction of Dr. Mary Ellen Cavitt, Dr. Caroline Beatty, Dr. Kyle Glaser, and Dr. Vanguel Tangarov.
  • My College Mascot is a Bobcat, so I fit right in with the Brabham Bobkats!
  • I own two pets, a Tuxedo Cat named Emma May, and Pembroke Welsh Corgi named Dipper Ray.
  • My favorite colors are any shade of blue and purple.
  • My favorite food is Spaghetti.
  • I love to bake, and I love to try new recipes!
I am excited to be teaching with the Willis ISD School district, and I look forward to educating young minds through music!
